REGIONAL FRAMEWORK AND DETAILED PLANS FOR 7 CITIES IN NWA

Blockwright led a hands-on housing workshop for the Razorback Greenway corridor, using our Greenway

Transect model to translate regional goals into on-the- ground development patterns. Planners worked with 3D-printed tiles representing each transect zone, placing them directly onto a large-format map of the full 40- mile corridor to test where different housing types and intensities best fit along the trail.

The workshop was structured to build regional thinking before local advocacy. Participants were first asked to think as a corridor-wide team and could only deploy transect tiles in cities other than their own. This encouraged practical empathy and quickly revealed where growth should concentrate and where transitions were needed between neighborhoods, centers, and sensitive edges. Next, the group refocused on individual communities. Planners shifted roles to act as planning commissioners, critiquing the development patterns of other participants.
